Harbour master Rob Parsons yesterday compared an AndyLoos portable toilet unit to a “teleportation” device, as a woman inside was accidentally carried across a field by a rogue forklift operator at Cornwall’s Newlyn Fish Festival.
The forklift driver was not an employee of Andyloos, and the woman was totally unharmed. However Mark Kempthorne, director of AndyLoos portable toilets and Cornishman himself said that the driver made the mistake of picking up the unit from behind, failing to check whether it was occupied or not.
He also suggested that because of this incorrect way of handling the unit, the operator left himself vulnerable to this blunder, modestly excusing it as an “easy mistake to make.”
However, this highlights the importance of AndyLoos’ own employees’ high standard of training in comparison.
